The Constitutional Council proclaimed on October 27, 2025 the official results of the presidential election held on October 12. Paul Biya<\/strong> was declared President-elect after obtaining the majority of votes cast.<\/p>\n\n

Out of a total of 8,082,692 registered voters<\/strong>, the election recorded a turnout rate of 57.76%<\/strong>, representing 4,668,446 voters. Here is the ranking of the main candidates:<\/p>\n\n

    The results show significant regional disparities. The Centre region recorded the highest turnout rate (69.85%), while the Adamawa region shows the lowest rate (45.34%). The diaspora also participated in the election with 16,776 actual voters.<\/p>\n\n
