Yaouba Abdoulaye: Minister Delegate to the Minister of Finance

Holder of a degree in Agronomy and a minor in Economics from the National School of Agronomy of Yaounde (ENSA) in 1984, Yaouba Abdoulaye began his professional career at the Agriculture Department of the Ministry of Agriculture. He was appointed Divisional Delegate for Agriculture for the VINA in Ngaoundéré from 1984 to 1987 and General Manager of the Mission de Développement Intégré des Monts Mandara (MIDIMA) from 1987 to 14 December 2006. In the meantime, he acquired knowledge in techniques for piloting a development project through a monitoring and evaluation system at the Institut Forum in La Rochelle, France, in 1997. Thereafter, he trained in "Strategic Management for Successful Change" at the Institut Forum in La Rochelle, France in 2001.

After this enriching career, he joined the Government as Minister Delegate to the Minister of State, Minister of Planning, Development Programming and Regional Development (MINPLAPDAT) from 22 September 2006 to 07 September 2007. He later moved as Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy, Planning and and Regional Development (MINEPAT) from 7 September 2007 until his appointment as Minister Delegate to the Minister of Finance on 2 March 2018.

Born in 1958 in Maroua in the Far North, Yaouba Abdoulaye is married and has six children.
